Rental Terms
Booking Confirmation: A bike is considered booked only once the payment has been fully processed. This ensures that your bike is reserved and waiting for you upon arrival.
Rental Period: We rent out bikes every day from 09:00 AM to 09:00 PM. This timeframe gives you the flexibility to plan your day on the island.
Pick-up and Return: All bikes must be picked up from and returned to our station in Bäckviken. This simplifies the handling and ensures that all bikes are where they need to be when you need them.
Electric Bikes: Due to the need for charging, electric bikes must be returned before the end of the day. If you plan to rent both a regular bike and an electric bike for multiple days, you need to make two separate bookings.
No Refund: If you fail to use your booked bike or any part of the booked time, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund for the unused time.
Liability: We are not responsible for any personal or clothing damage that may occur while you rent the bike. We urge everyone to cycle carefully and responsibly.
Customer Responsibility: You as a customer are responsible for keeping the bike in good condition during the rental period. If you need help with the bike, refer to the map for service locations on the island.
Late Return Fee: If you return the bike later than agreed, a late fee of 50 SEK per bike will be charged. This also applies to tandem bikes and trailers.
Booking Pickup: To pick up your booked bike, please visit our rental station in Bäckviken. This is the only place where pickup is possible.
Cancellation Terms
To meet the diverse needs of our customers, we offer two types of booking options: Standard and Flexible. Below, you will find detailed terms for cancellation and rebooking for these options.
Standard Booking
Choose standard booking for the best price. Ideal for those who are confident in their plans.
Cancellation Period: Cancellation must be made no later than 4:00 PM, seven days before the scheduled arrival to be eligible for a full refund.
After Deadline: If cancellation occurs less than seven days before arrival, a refund cannot be processed.
Flexible booking
For extra flexibility and peace of mind, choose our flexible booking.
Additional Cost: Denna bokningsform kostar 50 kr extra per cykel.
Cancellation and Rebooking: Customers have the option to cancel or rebook their order up until 11:59 PM the day before the scheduled arrival.
Refund and Rebooking: In case of cancellation before this deadline, the full amount is refunded, or the customer has the right to switch to other available bikes.
Payment Options
When you make a booking with us, we offer a smooth and secure card payment solution. You have the option to pay with VISA, Mastercard, or Maestro. The full cost of your booking will be charged at the time of payment. Please be aware that all prices listed in our booking system include VAT at 25%, ensuring a transparent and fair pricing.
For Companies and Organizations in Sweden
We offer invoice payment as an option for companies and organizations based in Sweden, including schools and municipalities. This option is presented in the final step of the booking process, where you will need to enter your organization number and other necessary company details for invoicing.
Please note that this option is intended only for Swedish companies and organizations, to ensure simple and efficient handling of payments and administration.
Additional Terms
Communication: All cancellations and rebookings must be communicated through the specified contact methods (email or phone) to ensure your request is properly processed.
Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 5 working days from the confirmation of cancellation.
Changes in Booking: If a rebooking is made and the new booking exceeds the value of the original booking, the customer will be charged the difference. If the new booking is cheaper, the difference will be refunded according to the terms applicable to the original booking type.
Illness or Accident: In case of illness preventing the use of the bike, we offer, upon presentation of a medical certificate, the possibility of a full refund or free rebooking. We ask you to notify us as soon as possible, no later than the day before the scheduled arrival.

Handling of Personal Data
Your privacy is of utmost importance to Ven's Bike Rental. When you provide your personal details in connection with an order, they are securely stored in our database. We assure you that these details are treated with the greatest respect and care.
Ven's Bike Rental will under no circumstances sell or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties. By making your booking with us, you consent to your details being stored in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, ensuring your right to privacy and data protection.
